Daily Prayer for April 10

April 10, 2011

Dear Prayer Partner, let us pray together.

Arise to New Life

Many Christians who love the Lord have suffered trauma that left emotional wounds. Often this one event will hinder their spiritual development. You are not responsible for what happened to you, but you are responsible for your present day response. You have the Life of God in you and I encourage you to speak Resurrection to the death that trauma brought to your soul. You have passed from death to Life!

Prayer:

Father God, I arise to new life this day. I shake off the entanglements, hurts, bruises and sins of the past. It’s a new day! Thank You for doing a new thing in my life, Father. Forgetting the former things, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. I have the Life of God in me! Amen.

Daily Prayer for April 9

April 9, 2011

Dear Prayer Partner, let us pray together.

A Renewed Mind

Even though I was born again at the age of 12, I was convinced that I was a failure. Over the years condemnation and guilt followed me, and at times depression would consume me. Little did I realize that my thought patterns were holding me in bondage. I blamed God for my mental state, and thought that I was a mistake. But God came to my rescue when I called on the name of the Lord. Reading the Bible as God’s love letter to me I realized that I was thinking wrong about myself. I quit saying I can’t, and began to say I can do all things through Christ you strengthens me. I said: Greater is He that is in me than He that is in the world. My life was changed. The Bible is God’s love letter to you, and He will change your life from defeat and failure to victory and success!

PRAYER:

In the name of Jesus, I refuse to be conformed to this age, [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs]. In the name of Jesus I bind my mind to transformation by the [entire] renewal of my mind with its new ideals and its new attitude. Holy Spirit, thank You for helping me prove [for myself] God’s good and acceptable and perfect will, even the thing, which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for me].

Daily Prayer for April 8

April 8, 2011

Dear Prayer Partner, let us pray together.

God’s Guidance

Do you feel trapped, at a crossroads wondering what to do? Before Jesus left this earth He said that He and the Father would send the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you. If you don’t know that you have the Holy Spirit Jesus said that your heavenly Father will give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him. Ask and receive the Holy Spirit as your Counselor, Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, and Standby. When the Holy Spirit, who is truth, comes, he shall guide you into all truth, for he will not be presenting his own ideas, but will be passing on to you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future (Jn 16:13 TLB). The Holy Spirit can help you when you don’t know what to do. Pray and read the Bible, trusting the Holy Spirit to reveal truth to your mind, and show you what to do. The Holy Spirit will convince you of God’s will. The Holy Spirit knows the way you are to go, He knows the future, He’s been this way before.

PRAYER

Father, I thank You for instructing me and teaching me in the way I should go. Thank You for Your guidance and leadership concerning Your will, Your plan and Your purpose for my life. I hear the voice of the Good Shepherd, for I know You and follow You. In the name of Jesus I bind my feet to the paths of righteousness in which You are leading me for Your name’s sake. Amen

Daily Prayer for April 7

April 7, 2011

Dear Prayer Partner, let us pray together.

A Teachable Spirit

When I was very young my family met a man who had been everywhere, seen everythig and knew more about everything than anyone else. Although he experienced success at various levels he never reached his potential. In the process he lost his family and friends; he ended up dying alone. Choose the way of life and always remain teachable. Our God created the universe, and He is a many faceted God. He sent the Holy Spirit to teach you how to live the more abundant life until it overflows!

PRAYER:

Teach me, O LORD, to follow your decrees; then I will keep them to the end. Give me understanding, and I will keep your law and obey it with all my heart. Direct me in the path of your commands, for there I find delight. Turn my heart toward your statutes and not toward selfish gain. Turn my eyes away from worthless things; preserve my life according to your word. Fulfill your promise to your servant, so that you may be feared. Take away the disgrace I dread, for your laws are good. How I long for your precepts! Preserve my life in your righteousness. Amen.

Daily Prayer for April 6

April 6, 2011

Dear Prayer Partner, let us pray together.

Choose the Way of Truth

Many years I searched for truth that would free me from the fears that tormented me. I read everything from self-help books to romance novels and the classics. I turned over many new leaves thinking that at last I had found a truth that would change my life. When Truth came to me, I discovered that Truth is a Person, the Lord Jesus Christ. You shall know the Truth and the Truth shall make you free. If you are unhappy with your life, and seeking for change I encourage you to choose the Way of Life. Jesus said, If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you (John 15:7 RSV).

PRAYER:

Father, in the name of Jesus I ask You to preserve my life according to Your word. I recounted my ways and You answered me; teach me Your decrees. Let me understand the teaching of Your precepts; then I will meditate on Your wonders. Strengthen me according to Your word. Keep me from deceitful ways; be gracious to me through Your law. I have chosen the way of truth; I have set my heart on Your laws. I hold fast to Your statutes, O LORD; do not let me be put to shame. I run in the path of Your commands, for You have set my heart free. You are awesome and I praise You, my Redeemer and Friend. Amen

Daily Prayer for April 5

April 5, 2011

Dear Prayer Partner, let us pray together.

Communion

When you take the bread and the cup of Jesus Christ you are signifying your union with Him. Do you know this Jesus or do you just know about Him? After He ascended to heaven He sent the Holy Spirit to bring you into an intimate relationship with the Father-God. Jesus is the way to the Father, and the Holy Spirit is your Teacher and Guide. For the believer prayer and Bible reading can be and should be times of exchanging information. You have the privilege of becoming intimately acquainted with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit–the Three in One. Acknowledge the Holy Spirit, take time to communicate with Him. He will take the Word of God and teach you all things that pertain unto life and godliness. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen (2 Cor 13:14).

PRAYER:

Lord Jesus, I am looking and listening, and I am in the spirit. You have knocked and I have opened the door. Come into my heart and let us eat of the living bread and drink from the fountain that never runs dry. Today, I rejoice in You and I am exceedingly glad. Glory and honor belong to You, my Redeemer, my Elder Brother, my Lord. It is no longer I that lives, but Christ who lives in me, and the life that I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God. My beloved is mine and I am His. Amen.

Daily Prayer for April 4

April 4, 2011

Dear Prayer Partner, let us pray together.

Morning Prayer

The mother of five small children wanted time to be alone with the Lord. Her early morning shower became her sanctuary where she met with the Father. A grandmother whose husband was retired yearned for a time of solitude to be with her Father. This grandmother arose at 5:00 each morning to pray while her husband went jogging. You can find time to pray for your family. Build a canopy of prayerful praise over your spouse, children and grandchildren each morning before the day begins. God is watching over His word to perform it.

Prayer:

Father, in the name of Jesus, it is into Your keeping that I place my family—my parents, spouse, children and grandchildren—knowing that You are able to keep that which I commit to You against that day. Thank you for the angels that You’ve commanded to guard my family and me so that we will not strike our foot against a stone. Thank You for Your faithfulness. Amen

Daily Prayer for April 3

April 3, 2011

Dear Prayer Partner, let us pray together.

Prayer to Begin the Day

The mother warned everyone not to talk to her before she had her coffee. But now that their son had started to school she felt bad sending him and her husband off without a smile or pleasant word. How could she change? She had never been a morning person. She remembered her dad who said when you wake up, wake up all over; spirit, soul and body. So she decided to at least act pleasant each morning as she prepared breakfast, and helped her son get ready for school. She made a decision to have happy thoughts and praise God before she even got out of bed each morning, and to her surprise she learned that every day could begin with a smile, a glad heart and a happy, joyous spirit.

Prayer:

Father, I come before You rejoicing, for this is the day that You have made and I will rejoice and be glad in it. To obey is better than sacrifice, so I am making a decision to submit to Your will today, that my plans and purposes may be conducted in a manner that will bring honor and glory to You. Cause me to be spiritually and mentally alert in this time of meditation and prayer, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Daily Prayer for April 2

April 1, 2011

Dear Prayer Partner, let us pray together.

Accepted by God

The fear of rejection controlled the young woman, and she kept her eyes averted or looked away before anyone at church could speak to her. She always assumed they really didn’t want to speak or they would at least try to get her attention. This fear haunted her until the day she heard the Good News! God chose her before the foundation of the world, and she had been accepted in the Beloved! God’s love began to drive away the fear, and over time the Lord became her confidence. She held her head high, speaking to others rather than waiting for them to speak to her. God gave her a spirit of power, love and a sound mind. Today she is a blessing to many, especially to those who are lonely and hurting.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for blessing the work of my hands. I can walk confidently fulfilling my destiny because You love, accept and approve of me. I am strong even though I feel weak, and my works shall be rewarded. I am steadfast, never giving up in the face of adversity. Because I am Your child and a partaker of Your divine nature, I will stand firm until Your will prevails and satan’s plans have been demolished. In the name of Jesus, I affirm Your love for me. Amen

Approved by God

How awesome is our God! The Living Bible says that He made you so wonderfully complex! Amazing! He understands and knows your DNA, the 30 trillion cells that make up your body! He formed every organ to serve you well all the days of your life. You and your DNA are you and you vibrate with divine energy and love. You are His marvelous workmanship; He approves of you! The Father saw you before you were born and scheduled each day of your life before you began to breathe. Every day was recorded in His book! God, the Creator of the universe, chose you, and you are precious to Him.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, You knit me together in my mother’s womb, knew me, and approved of me even before I was born. Wonderful are Your works, and I hold fast to this knowledge. I will not keep silent, but bring the Good News of relief and deliverance to others who do not know You. I was born for such a time as this to fulfill my destiny in the Kingdom of God. I take my place a member of the Body of Christ. Thank You for loving me, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
